Our plant employs an environmental remediation technology that utilizes heat to increase the volatility of contaminants such that they can be separated from the solid matrix; typically soil, sludge or filter cake. It offers a method of separating and recovering. We use the Porcupine Processor which ensure the following results: Consistently discharge processed drill cuttings with TPH (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon) limits below 10000 mg/kg (1% by weight as required by legislation).
HOW DOES IT WORK
The Porcupine Processor is a low temperature indirect thermal desorption system utilizing a closed loop heat transfer fluid. Drill cuttings or sludge, of any composition are conveyed into a feed hopper prior to entering the processor. The cuttings are heated to a maximum temperature of 3400C to produce water and oil vapours and clean dry solids. The water and oil vapours are condensed in the Vapour Recovery Unit and phase separated.
